Description
two different classes of two different countries through video calls have to guess where they both are, using a list of yes/no questions. The winner is the school which first guesses.
Aims
develloping speaking skills ( fluency, oral comprehension),extend the specific geographic and scientific vocabulary , to get to know different school habits and systems,different cultures,use the English language in a real situation.To improve the knowledge of geography thanks to the thorough use of maps.

    If needed..The teacher explains what a Mystery Skype is then pupils are asked to find the useful mother tongue words they will use aftwerwards to find places on the map.

    In groups of 3 they look for the new words using www.wordreference.com. (3 words each). A writer for each group writes the words they found on the board and pupils should write them down in their copy books. Then pupils listen to the teacher and repeat.

    ENERGIZER - THE WORLD The class is the world. The teacher identify the different geografic landmarks (north- south - east - west equator - prime meridian...) The world map is displayed on the wall. Children in a circle are given the name of a Country and in 3 minutes are requested to go to the right Country position) . At the end the teacher can ask 1 or 2 questions connected to the Country they are representing (where are you? who are you? Are you noth of...?) Repeat at least a couple of times

Every group decides who the two speakers are ( they will switch to ask questions to the other group). Each group is divided again into two smaller groups of four .Each group component has got a specific task ( that the previously detailed).

After the first initial welcome, the game starts and continues untill both places are discovered (but obviously the winner is the first)
