Description
Preschoolers will help animals , who lives in the polar regions, to build their houses ,by making practical work activities and after that, using the new "tinkering" method , they will illuminate shelters, by making an electrical circuit .
Aims
- To apply solder, creatively, pieces of paper, in order to obtain shelters for polar creatures; - To assume the role of pastry chef, by preparing a food product - Ice cubes cake - by respecting the recipe and the hygiene rules; - To reconstruct images representing polar creatures , combining correctly available parts; -To design, based on observations made components of an electrical circuit; -to assemble the pieces of an electrical circuit, to provide illumination into the boxes.

    In the ART area,the preschoolers will make shelters for polar creatures, sticking pieces of paper. Steps: • Apply glue to the pieces's surface of paper; • Bonding actual pieces of paper on the outline of the house; It is noted that the creatures will become happier if they have made shelters to protect them from the polar freezing.

    In the ROLE PLAY area , the children will play the role of a chef and they will prepare cakes. The cakes will be prepared according to the recipe. The teacher will tell to the children to be careful and respect the specific hygiene rules. She remindes them that the cakes are prepared for the polar creatures and their friends.

    The children will collaborate to play some funny games: "Penguins with glacier"- One child sits in the middle of large glacier (Penguin). All the other children are in their glacier. At the teacher signal ,, penguins fly” , glaciers change between themselves. The penguin that has no glacier, pursues a deal that remains without glacier. He passes in the middle of the large circle. The game repeats. "Penguin's dance" -Music from "Dancing Penguin", children are placed in one band with teacher and make steps to dance respectively: foot right side twice, foot left side twice, jump slightly in front, jump easily back twice more abruptly in front.
