Description
Students work in groups to create an online booklet about the trees of their natural environment.
Aims
Pupils will: -recognize the trees in their natural environment, -learn to work in groups to reach an agreement and a final product, -develop their ICT skills creating a book. -get in touch with poetry.

    Students are asked to go to a park / forest in their area and choose the three trees that they like the most. They have to observe and take note of the shape, the size, the trunk bark, leaves (shape, texture, color, the tip and the base, if they stay on the tree in winter or fall in autumn etc ...) what animals live there, the type of soil in which it is located, fruits, flowers, perfume, etc ... Take photos or do diagrams of trees and leaves. They can do this activity as homework.

    They have to search on the internet or in books to find out their names, where they are, interesting facts/trivia, legends, poems about them etc. ..

    They share their work with another pair formed by the teacher. Together they decide on 4 trees (one for each member of the group) to present to the class and to be reported in the booklet they will create. If they have chosen the same trees, they compare all the information they have and come to an agreement to decide what information to keep on that tree.

    Each student will collect at least two or more poems that authors of different cultures have written on the trees and read one to the group. Out of the poems they read they choose the most beautiful and suitable one for their booklet.
