- As a part f the Curriculum students in the 2nd Grade of Genaral Lyceum in Greece must learn about the great explorers in their History Class. So, seperated in five teams of five members every one work on five of the explorers during the 15th and 16th Century. First, they try to find information not only in their school books but and online (with the Internet) about the route of the explorers. After they use Google Earth to realize their travel and present the results to their whole class. The explorers that they work on are: Bartolomeo Diaz, Christopher Columbus, Vasco da Gama, Álvares Cabral and Fernão de Magalhães. Finally they provide information about the navigation systems in that period.
- Aims
- There is an effort to learn students who to use information from their school book and from the Internet to come to a conclusion and face the reality. Also, there is an effort to make students realize the routes of the Great Explorers by using the suitable tool.

- Synthesis of the different routes that the great explorers had by using for example Google Earth
- Evaluation of the Great Explorers efforts for the past and the present.
