Description
The birth of the ancient greek theatre: an instinctive cultural phenomenon and/or a political one? Students have to: 1. research and select information and documents about the origins of the greek theatre; 2. describe information and documents; including some dramas; 3. produce new scripts of a drama they will select; 4. debate about issues, 5. discussing about issues; 5. assess and evaluate products after deciding criteria of evaluation.
Aims
The project aims: 1. to promote knowledge about a very significant topic; 2. to enhance skills of argumentation; 3. to implement skills of awareness and self-confidence; 4. to implement skills of collaboration among peers; 5. to increase skills of evaluation.

    Teacher introduces the next steps of the project : each group will create a dramatization of an ancient Greek drama and evaluate itself and the others ; He/she explains the goals and gives the tasks: to produce a new script, for a theatre play of 30 minutes ( more or less). At the end pupils will pose questions if something is not clear.

    The members of every group meet to organize the staging with a new script of an ancient Greek drama ( tragedy or comedy) at its choice . A drama has to be selected and the group has to organize tasks among every member.
