Description
Students are 12-14 years old. Using English language, collaborating, practicing, gaining knowledge from specialists they will produce a leaflet how to promote winter activities.
Aims
-Practice written and spoken English language by producing sentences in Present Simple Tense and giving suggestions -Improve entrepreneurial skills -Become responsible digital citizens

Class 1. Introduction, general survey and task devison

    Teacher is introducing the driving question "Winter wonderland or a nightmare”. What can we do to make a winter wonderland? She /He explains to the studens that the project should be made in proper English language using present simple tense. Also a deadline for the project is set and students are informed about what proper behavior is. The final product should be a leaflet promoting winter.

    Teacher is handing a survey papers to each students with the question Is winter a wonderland or a nightmare for you? Why? Give pros and cons. Each student is filling the survey and keeps the survey for her/himself. (the survey is in English language not in students’ mother tongue)

    Students are grouped in pairs. They are told to go and interview students, teachers, parents, administrative and management staff in the school (there are always unengaged people around our school during the classes). They should use the same survey while doing the interview. They can ask the questions on Macedonian language but the answers should be written in English language.

    Students discuss the topics from the answer garden and groups are formed according to the topics raised from the answers. Teacher’s prediction is that they are going to talk about food, clothes and activities during the winter. So three groups of 7 students are going to be made. Also students are discussing the target group for this leaflet.

Homework for the teacher: the teacher prepares handouts- guide the students should follow during the next class; an assessment form that students should fill in at the end of the each class.
